Building in Big Sky for over 40 years.

THE AREA LOOKED QUITE DIFFERENT THAN IT DOES TODAY.

Biggerstaff Construction has been building in the Big Sky community and surrounding areas since 1980.  Traffic was sparse on the gravel road that led up to the ski hill, and homes and condos were just starting to creep up here and there, blending into the landscape. Restaurants and businesses were few and far between.
However, all that didn’t last long; as Big Sky quickly earned a reputation for world-class skiing, and with its close proximity to Yellowstone National Park, the small town evolved into an escape and an outdoor wonderland for both tourists and a steadily increasing local population.
Bob Biggerstaff’s first project in Big Sky was working on the Hidden Village Condominiums, some of the first units in the Meadow. Since that time, Biggerstaff Construction has gone on to build more than 500 structures in the surrounding area, including some of Big Sky’s landmarks and infrastructure, such as the Milkies Pizza complex, Arrowhead Condominiums & Arrowhead Mall (home of Christies Sports, the Cabin and Scissorbills), Beaverhead Condominiums and the Mint restaurant in Belgrade, not to mention numerous custom homes.

After graduating from Montana State University in Business Management, Marketing and International Business, Bob’s son Jerad came on board, making this a family business and carrying on the legacy as part owner.
There’s a reason Biggerstaff Construction is still thriving as one of the longest running construction companies in the area. Over the years, they have made a commitment to building quality structures and listening carefully to client’s needs and expectations. They have also made a commitment to building quality, lasting relationships within the Big Sky, Bozeman and building communities.
Since he built that first home over 40 years ago, Bob says that he has always made an effort to “build strong relationships, and take care of people.”  Biggerstaff Construction has been, an integral part of the growth of Big Sky, Bozeman and Montana. They will continue helping shape these communities into the future with their commitment to relationships and building high quality homes and structures.
